This Front Desk Agent role places you at the heart of daily operations in a busy hotel setting in Salt Lake City, UT. You’re the first person guests see when they walk in, and the last face they remember when they leave. The job revolves around check ins, check outs, reservations, and answering questions; but it’s also about reading people. Some guests are in a rush. Others want to chat. A good agent adapts on the fly, keeps the lobby calm under pressure, and makes sure every interaction feels smooth. It's a front line position where your energy sets the tone for someone’s entire stay.

Duties & Responsibilities / JobXi / Salt Lake City, UT

• Guest check in and check out. You’ll process arrivals quickly, verify IDs and payment methods, and assign rooms; while maintaining a friendly demeanor during peak hours.
• Managing reservations. This means taking bookings over the phone or through the system, making modifications as needed, and coordinating with housekeeping on requests like late checkout or rollaway beds.
• Handling guest concerns. If someone has a noisy neighbor or a broken TV remote (and it happens), you're their point of contact. You note the issue accurately without getting defensive or flustered.
• Clerical tasks. Keeping shift logs updated; balancing cash drawers at end of shift; processing folios for departing guests; expect paper trails that require basic math accuracy.
• Communication across departments. You’ll relay maintenance requests to engineering updates for front desk shifts do handoffs very clearly so nothing gets lost between teams during busy turnarounds
