Project/Program Manager

Alright, let's talk about this job. It's for a Program Manager on our School Services team in Sacramento, CA. The work is real, it's challenging, and it directly impacts kids who need a solid plan to succeed.

What you'll do

You're the point person for students with significant behavioral challenges. You'll go into schools, figure out what's behind those behaviors, and build a practical plan to address them.

• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) for your assigned students.
• Develop function based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) from those assessments.
• Design, put into action, and then evaluate the effectiveness of the environmental changes and teaching strategies in the BIP and other IEP goals.
• Train the student’s entire educational team; teachers, aides, everyone; on how to implement the plan correctly.
• Directly supervise and oversee the team of Behavior Technicians assigned to your cases.
• Your support extends across your assigned territory; you're not stuck in one building.

The schedule & support

Your onsite hours at schools generally run from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The indirect work; planning, reports, follow ups; happens in the afternoons after school lets out. Your schedule follows the academic calendar of the schools you're assigned to. Just a heads up, we might schedule training or in service days on non instructional days.

We give you a company computer and a cell phone. You'll get mileage reimbursement for travel between sites. And we've built a monthly bonus structure into the role.

Who you are

You need a Master’s degree. It has to be in education, psychology, counseling, behavior analysis, behavior science, human development, social work, rehabilitation, or a closely related field. That’s required.

Your skills need to be strong in ABA principles and clinical work. You have to know how to manage programs effectively.

A couple years of hands on experience goes a long way here. We're looking for people with:

• At least two years implementing behavior treatment plans under a BCBA's supervision.
• At least two years specifically working with students who have significant behavioral challenges.
• A year or more of experience actually working within a school setting.

If you're enrolled in or have finished formal behavior analytic coursework, that's a definite plus.
