Registered Nurse

Alright, let's talk about this evening supervisor role at Rochester Center. We need an RN who can run the floor from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday. You'll also cover a day shift every other weekend. The schedule's set, so you know what you're getting into.

What You'd Be Doing

You're in charge of your unit for the shift. That means handling all the supervisory duties that come with it.

• You'll help put employee policies into practice and make sure they're followed.
• A big part of this is mentoring newer or less experienced nurses, giving them clinical and career guidance.
• Keeping care standards high is on you. You'll review resident records and monitor the quality of care for everyone on the unit.
• When there are specific cases or concerns, you'll review them individually.
• If a resident or family member has a question or complaint, you're the point person to address it.
• And you'll represent your unit's needs and interests when talking with upper management.

What You Need to Bring

A valid New York State RN license is non negotiable; you gotta have that.

• We're really looking for someone with about two years of experience in Long Term Care. It's preferred.
• Having at least one year of experience as a Charge Nurse is also a strong preference.
• You need a genuinely positive attitude. People will look to you as the leader, especially on evenings.
• Strong computer skills are necessary; everything runs on them now.
• Your communication skills need to be exceptional, both with your team and with residents and families.
