General/Operations Manager

The Role

Nabis is the #1 licensed cannabis wholesale platform in the world, supplying over $1B worth of product each year. We're backed by Y Combinator and a roster that includes DoorDash's co founder, Joe Montana, and the creator of Gmail. Right now we need an Operations Manager for our warehouse in Rochester, NY.

This isn't a desk job where you just watch reports come in. You'll be on site, running the daily show during swing shift hours (1:30 PM to 10:00 PM). You'll report directly to the New York Director of Operations. The work is demanding. Deadlines are short. Requirements change fast. What You'll Do

• Work with the Operations Director, Supervisors, and Associates to make sure all inbound and outbound activities happen on time and accurately
• Track your team's performance day to day, then give them feedback and training where it's needed
• Manage daily volume so SLA compliance never slips
• Push progress on market OKRs and KPIs ; especially around DOTIF, quality of service, inventory, and delivering a best in class experience for brand and retail partners
• Watch how the team follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and keep everyone accountable
• Forecast staffing needs and build schedules for department associates
• Collaborate with Central Ops, Engineering, Finance, and People teams to keep cross department communication regular and productive
• Communicate clearly with other Nabis departments as well as external partners
• Make sure everything stays compliant with state and federal cannabis distribution regulations ; including inventory tracking and reporting
• Manage relationships with vendors and supply chain partners
• Lead continuous improvement projects using technology and data analytics to make operations more efficient and customers happier

What You Need to Bring

• S serious knack for time management and organization
• The tenacity to navigate a high growth startup where demands evolve constantly
• A low ego (high EQ) ; willingness to do anything including manual labor when it's needed
• The ability to delegate effectively while following up on projects until they're done right
• A meticulous approach; details matter here more than almost anywhere else
• >= 2 years of experience within a warehouse or logistics setting ; plus 2+ years managing a team of at least 30 employees.
