X-Ray Technologist

The Role

You're an X Ray Technologist heading to Richmond, VA for a 13 week travel contract with Trusted Health. Shift starts at 11:00 AM and ends at 11:00 PM, 12 hours per shift, two shifts per week. This is a weekender position ; you'll work every Saturday and Sunday. No call, no overtime, no holidays.

The technologist handles general x rays in the ED, ICU, and regular nursing floors. You won't be responsible for any OR cases.

What You'll Do

• Perform general diagnostic x ray exams on patients in the emergency department, intensive care unit, and medical surgical floors.
• Operate mobile x ray equipment for bedside imaging as needed.
• Use Epic systems for charting and order management ; this is required.
• Float to additional units and locations within the facility when asked.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; you get two attempts max to pass each one or you'll be canceled from the assignment.

Experience You Need

• 12 months of overall clinical experience with at least 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of specific Radiology experience.
• 6 months of Epic experience is required ; no exceptions there.
• At least 18 months of permanent full time staff experience in your specialty BEFORE you ever started traveling. That's not a preference; it's a requirement.

Licenses & Certifications

• A valid license is required after submission ; make sure yours is current or pending.
• (R) Registered Technologist - Radiography certification required upfront.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upfront.
• COVID vaccination required after submission; religious and medical declinations are accepted if documented properly.

Scheduling Details

• This role runs from May 4, 2026 for an expected 13 weeks. Shifts are two 12 hour days per week (Saturday & Sunday), day shift starting at 11:00 AM. Maximum time off allowed is seven days total over the contract ; discuss all RTO requests during your interview so they're included at time of submission.
