About This Role
PACU Registered Nurse at Johnston Willis Hospital
You're a Registered Nurse who knows that the first minutes a patient spends waking up from surgery set the tone for their entire recovery. That's what this PACU role is about. Every shift, you'll manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond the second a complication surfaces. You'll provide initial wound care to surgical sites and ensure patients are stable before they leave your care. And you'll do it alongside a team that has your back.
The unit runs Self/Preferential Scheduling posted four weeks out. Leadership is visible and supportive, and the culture's built on collaboration and respect. Nurses here are free to ask questions, seek help, and offer input without hesitation. You'll have Certified Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Techs, Charge Nurses, and an internal RN float pool backing you up. Leaders round with charge nurses regularly, so your voice gets heard on patient care decisions.
This role includes on call availability during select non business hours. You'll discuss the specifics in your interview.
