CDL-A Driver

Alright, let's talk about this driving job. It's for Sysco in Richmond, VA, and they need a CDL A driver to shuttle trailers between their main facility and the shuttle yards. You're home daily, which is a big deal.

What you'd be doing

You'll operate a tractor trailer, hauling doubles (and sometimes triples) on those shuttle runs. The main job is moving product between our building and the yards.

• On an as needed basis, you might also run a delivery route, unloading products to customer locations.
• Safely getting the rig from point A to point B is the core of it all.

What you need to bring

A few non negotiables here. You've got to be at least 21 years old and pass a pre employment drug screen.

• A valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• A Doubles/Triples Endorsement is preferred; if you don't have it yet, we can talk about that.
• You need to read and speak English well enough to talk with people, understand road signs, handle official questions, and fill out paperwork.
• The freight isn't always light. You should be able to handle lifting, pushing, or moving items that average 40 60 pounds. Sometimes you'll run into something up to 100 pounds.

Schedule & Pay

Most drivers in this role are home every day. That's the standard schedule.
