About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this Inside Sales role at DB Roberts in Raleigh, NC. It's not about cold calls into the void. You're managing a real book of business, up to about $3 million a year, with established OEM and contract manufacturing accounts. The game is growth: digging deeper into the accounts you already have and finding new ones.
What you'd be doing
Your main focus is growing sales in your territory. That means building on what's there and hunting for what isn't yet.
- Partner with Field Sales Reps to pull more business from your assigned accounts.
- Find and evaluate new markets and customers that are worth going after.
- The job is building real relationships with key contacts at your customers.
- You're their main point of contact, so service through phone, email, whatever they need, is central.
- Put together smart quotes for customers within our pricing structure.
- The team counts on you for backup support when others are out.
- The goal? Make yourself and DB Roberts the trusted, go to source for everything we offer.
What you'll need to bring
A couple of paths work here. A Bachelor's degree is great. So is mechanical aptitude paired with at least one year selling fasteners or similar products. Either way, you should have 1 2 years of successful sales or closely related experience under your belt.
This position falls under ITAR regulations. Because of that, you must be a U.S. Person; that means a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident ('Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
You've got to be able to work from our assigned office location on scheduled in office days. We're looking for someone who communicates clearly, focuses on the customer, and keeps the details organized.
The physical side of things
It's primarily desk work in an office setting. You'll be sitting, typing, reading, talking on the phone, and working on a computer most of the day. You should be able to handle minor lifting now and then, maybe up to 10 pounds. Good close vision for screen work and paperwork is needed too; we can discuss accommodations if necessary.
