Job Overview

This is a senior financial leadership position based in Raleigh, NC. You'll shape the financial strategy and health of the organization, moving beyond basic accounting to guide major business decisions. Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including forecasting, budgeting, and long range planning.
• Lead capital structure decisions, manage banking relationships, and oversee fundraising or investment activities.
• Ensure robust financial controls and reporting systems are in place for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Provide data driven insights to the CEO and board, translating complex financial metrics into actionable business intelligence.
• Oversee all finance related departments, including accounting, treasury, tax, and potentially IT or legal.
• Manage investor relations and act as a key point of contact for audits and due diligence processes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role like VP of Finance or Controller.
• CPA designation is strongly preferred; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is often expected.
• Deep expertise in corporate finance, GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting for public companies (if applicable), and M&A integration.
• Proven experience building and mentoring high performing finance teams. You know how to develop talent.
• The mental stamina to handle high stakes decision making under pressure. This isn't a nine to five desk job; it demands strategic thinking during ambiguity.
