What this role actually is

This isn't your standard truck driving job. You're becoming an owner operator ; running your own small business under Panther Premium Logistics' operating authority. You keep full control of your schedule, your loads, and your income. You're independent, not an employee.

How the work works

You choose your own freight through three different channels. Use the ArcBest truckload board to pick loads that fit your route. Accept shipment offers with no forced dispatch through the Panther expedite solution. Or get assigned scheduled lanes with all miles paid in the Dedicated program. However you want to keep moving, there's a path for it.

• 99% no touch freight ; you're hauling high value expedite cargo, not wrestling pallets

• A fuel surcharge on top of your standard rate per shipment

You earn top pay for safe, precise, on time delivery. And since you control how much you work, you decide how much you earn. There are cost saving benefits for insurance, trailer fees, and fuel ; real savings that help your bottom line as an independent contractor.

What you need to qualify

• A valid CDL A plus at least 6 months of experience (that's for tractor trailer work)
• No experience necessary if you're running straight trucks or cargo vans instead
• At least 21 years old
• No DUI or drug convictions within the last 5 years
• No felony convictions within the last 10 years
