What This Role Is About
Endeavor Schools needs a Substitute Teacher for our Children's Garden and Montessori of Alameda locations in Portland, OR. You'll step in when regular teachers are out, making sure things run smoothly and kids stay engaged. It's a key role, and we want someone flexible, patient, and genuinely happy to work with young children.
What You'll Actually Do
- Lead innovative learning activities that support children's development and growth
- Keep kids safe and watch out for their well being at all times
- Track and monitor each child's progress over time
- Build a warm, harmonious environment where both children and your co workers look forward to being every day
Who We're Looking For
The most important thing is that you love working with children. Seriously. Some of our best educators came from customer service, healthcare, retail, and other fields ; not from schools. Here's what you need:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Early Childhood Education at a certified child development center is preferred, but not required
- Comfort using standard office equipment like a laptop computer and tablet

What You'll Get Paid
Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. It's a fair rate for the work, and we do our best to make sure you feel valued.
