Stock Associate

Job Overview

This is a Stock Associate role in Portland, OR. You're the person who makes sure everything on the sales floor stays full and organized. It's hands on work; think unloading trucks, breaking down shipments, and moving product from the back room to where customers can grab it. The pace picks up fast during holidays and weekend rushes. You won't be stuck behind a desk all day.

• Unload delivery trucks. You'll help sort through incoming freight and get it staged for processing.
• Stock shelves and floor displays. Rotate older product to the front, keep everything looking neat, and make sure price tags match.
• Process returns and damaged items. Check what came back from customers and decide if it goes back on the shelf or gets marked out.
• Keep the stockroom clean. Broken boxes, loose plastic wrap, misplaced pallets; you handle that so others can find what they need fast.
• Assist with inventory counts. Some days you'll scan bins or count cases to keep numbers accurate.

• A willingness to stay active most of your shift. You'll be lifting boxes up to 50 pounds repeatedly, bending to low shelves, and reaching overhead. Comfort with that matters more than experience does.
• A basic reliability with schedules. If you say you'll show up at 6 AM for a truck delivery, they need you there. Occasional weekend availability helps too; stores in Portland, OR tend to get busy Saturday mornings.
• A high school diploma or equivalent level of learning is required. No specific certification needed for this entry level position; they'll teach you their system once you start.
