The Gig

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions runs an 80,000 square foot facility in Portland, OR that's been around since 1973. We're about 300 people here, and we make hip and knee joint implants ; the kind that help people get back to living active lives. It's a full service plant, so we do everything start to finish in house. This is a QC Inspector role on Shift 2 (there's a $0.55 shift differential), and you'd report to the Quality Control Supervisor.

What You'll Actually Do

You'll inspect machined and polished parts visually to make sure they meet customer specs. That means keeping solid records, collecting data, and reporting results every step of the way. You'll work with Good Manufacturing Practices standards, review Device History Records, and check raw materials as they come in.

  • Communicate nonconformances to Quality Engineering and Management to drive corrective actions
  • Work modified schedules occasionally to support production demands
