Registered Nurse

Hey there. I'm putting this listing together for a PRN RN position at Methodist Health System in Plano, TX. The Work

You're providing direct nursing care, using the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation. That means you own your patients' quality of care for their entire episode.

• Creating and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for everyone; patients, yourself, your coworkers.
• Your communication has to be on point: with the team, patients, and families, making sure everyone understands what's happening.
• You're responsible for the nursing components of patient and family education.
• Safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration is a core part of the day.
• Keeping patient records complete, accurate, and up to date is non negotiable.
• It also means adhering to hospital standards to promote a cooperative environment. Think communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
• They expect you to take initiative for your own performance and professional growth.

What You Need to Bring

The requirements are specific. Here's what you must have:

• A graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• A current license to practice as an RN in Texas, or immediate eligibility for one.
• At least six months of experience working as a Registered Nurse.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
