What you'll do as a Psychologist in Pittsburgh, PA

You'll provide student counseling and run psychoeducational evaluations. This involves participating in IEP meetings, writing comprehensive case reports, and making educational eligibility determinations. It's a role where strong communication and relationship building skills matter because you'll collaborate directly with onsite school personnel and work to build rapport with your students.

What you need to bring

• One or more valid state licenses or an equivalent school psychologist certification
• Active DOE licensure
• At least one year of experience providing evaluations or counseling in a school setting (your internship or practicum year doesn't count here)
• A solid background attending IEP meetings, acting as case manager, and completing those comprehensive case reports along with educational eligibility determinations
• A reliable Wi Fi or internet connection
• Your own personal computer that works well
• Comfortable using technology like headphones and working on a computer day to day
• The Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred but not required ; don't worry if you don't have it yet.

The pay range is $48 to $51 per hour for direct therapy or counseling services. Evaluations are compensated separately using a component billing model ; so that hourly rate doesn't cover those.
