Production Worker

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this job. It's for a Production Associate on the insulating line at Trulite in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm looking for someone who shows up ready to work and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. The day to day is physical and requires you to pay attention.

What You'd Be Doing

You'll be moving materials and glass by hand to keep the production line flowing. A big part of the job is checking your own work; you'll read labels and codes, verify equipment settings, and attach the right tags to everything that goes through your station.

  • Do quality checks on the glass, whether you're running a machine or moving things manually.
  • Keep your equipment in good shape with basic preventive maintenance.
  • Pass important info to the next shift by writing down any issues or needs.
  • Fill out the required production and quality paperwork.
  • Pitch in on different tasks around the line when they need you.

The Stuff You Need

You have to be able to read, understand, and communicate in English for all the paperwork and labels. Basic math and knowing how to use a tape measure are essential.

  • You need to lift 75 pounds on your own. It comes with the territory.
  • The plant isn't climate controlled, so you'll work in heat, cold, and humidity.
  • Basic computer skills are a must have for this role.
  • A commitment to following safety rules isn't just a bullet point here; it's how everyone goes home safe.

A year or two of experience in something similar is nice, but it isn't a dealbreaker if you're reliable and willing to learn. We can train someone with the right attitude.

Schedule & Pay

The regular shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There's potential for overtime and occasional weekend work when we're busy. Your total pay will be based on your experience, with an hourly rate between $16 and $18. You're paid every week. And there are monthly bonus opportunities tied to safety and production goals.

The Benefits (They're Seriously Good)

This is where Trulite stands out. All these benefits start on your very first day.

  • Immediate access to health, dental, vision, and life insurance for you and your family from day one.
  • The company covers most of the cost for these plans.
  • You get both Short Term and Long Term Disability coverage at no cost to you.
  • The 401(k) employer match vests 100% after just one year of service; it's yours immediately at that point.
  • The same immediate 100% vesting applies if you contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA). Trulite provides an HSA match for both employee only and family coverage plans.
  • There are financial wellness programs available too because they care about more than just your physical health here; they think about your financial well being as well..

A Final Note

This position is not open to outside staffing agencies.

Trulite embraces diversity in all its forms.
