Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions needs a Material Handler in Pittsburgh, PA. This is an entry level spot on the production floor, but don't expect to just stand there. You'll be moving aluminum and glass by hand ; loading, unloading, wrapping doors in cardboard, checking for scratches, stringing glass stops. You'll also pull out a tape measure to verify product specs. There's a tape measure test at the interview, so make sure you can read one.
This is union work. Day shift runs 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday typically, with overtime as needed. The starting wage is $18.55/hour.
What You'll be Doing
- Moving materials ; aluminum, glass ; by hand throughout the facility
- Loading and unloading shipments
- Inspecting materials for quality issues and abnormalities
- Using a tape measure to check that products match specifications
- Keeping your work area clean and safe
- Rotating across the production floor as you train in new skills
- Wrapping doors in cardboard, quality checking for scratches, stringing glass stop in doors
What You Need to Bring
- Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience ; preferred but not mandatory
- The ability to read and understand basic math measurements
- A working knowledge of how to use a tape measure (you will take a test during your interview)
- The strength to lift 75 pounds during your shift when needed
- A flexible schedule ; this role typically works Monday through Friday but OT comes up

A Few Details Worth Knowing
$18.55 per hour starting pay. Union shop with quarterly safety bonus opportunities. Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM but overtime happens when production demands it.
