LifeWorks, a division of Aramark, is looking for a General Manager to lead a premier client portfolio in Pittsburgh, PA. You'll oversee operations that generate between $2 million and $15 million in annual revenue. That's a big range, and it means the work here is never one size fits all.
The services you manage could include food service, facilities support, custodial operations, retail, lodging, transportation ; or some combination of all of them. It depends on what each client needs. As the senior on site leader, you set the tone. You guide teams, build real trust with clients, and make sure every detail meets a standard of excellence.
This isn't just about keeping things running. It's about shaping experiences that feel thoughtful and seamless while driving strong financial and operational performance.
What You'll Actually Do
- Lead a team that delivers operational expertise in contracted services while managing hands on execution day to day.
- Manage client and community relationships at the location; constantly assess operations and develop plans to improve service and boost satisfaction for both employees and customers.
- Build, develop, and lead a management team and staff who can carry out organizational objectives.
- Recommend methods, resources, and implementation strategies for service improvement based on your understanding of operational needs, capabilities, and contractual obligations.
- Work alongside Finance to manage a budget and help design improvements that optimize financial performance and operational productivity.
- Stay on top of compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations; maintain records and reports as needed.
- Ensure everything aligns with Aramark's standards for safety operations and Business Conduct Policy.

What You Need to Bring
A bachelor's degree in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management is highly preferred but not absolutely required. What matters more is what you've actually done.
- A sharp focus on client service ; you're entrepreneurial at heart but grounded in building something sustainable.
- The ability to communicate comfortably with clients, senior management at Aramark or LifeWorks support staff ; no ego here.
- You can read contractual language thoroughly; understand requirements; spot opportunities inside terms to solve problems operationally.
- Real experience in the service industry ; contract services or hospitality environment specifically counts most here this time around)
