Senior Program Manager

The Role

A commercial general contractor in Phoenix, AZ is adding a Senior Project Engineer to their team. This person will focus on Commercial Tenant Improvement work, plus renovation and ground up projects. You'd be working across the Corporate Office, Life Science, Labs, and Education sectors. It's a permanent position with real ownership over project execution.

What You'll Actually Do

• Oversee all phases of commercial TI projects: planning, execution, tracking, and closure
• Work with stakeholders to nail down project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the business
• Build full scale project plans and documentation for communication
• Keep team members and stakeholders in the loop regularly
• Handle issues and conflicts as they come up by liaising with everyone involved
• Figure out what resources and participants are needed to hit project goals
• Draft budget proposals and recommend changes when necessary
• Decide if you need extra staff or consultants during the project cycle; recruit them if you do
• Manage dependencies and identify the critical path for each project
• Plan timelines and milestones using whatever tools work best
• Track progress and give regular status updates to stakeholders
• Run post mortems after projects wrap up; write recommendations on what worked and what didn't

What You Need to Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or something related
• At least 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer focused on Commercial TI work ; this isn't a suggestion; it's required.
• A track record managing projects in Corporate Office, Life Science, Labs, or Education sectors already under your belt.
