The Job

Sonora Quest Laboratories needs a Phlebotomist for the Mobile Diagnostic Services team in Phoenix, AZ. This isn't a desk job. You'll be on the road, working independently at nursing homes and behavioral health sites.

What You'll Actually Do

You collect biological specimens from patients and make sure everything is handled correctly. That means entering them into the computer system properly, prepping samples for testing, and getting them to the right lab area. You handle both the before and after parts of analytical testing. Sometimes you'll do specified analytical testing yourself. All of this follows Sonora Quest's policies, procedures, and any regulatory requirements that apply.

Where You'll Work

This position could be based in a hospital, a Patient Service Center (PSC), an In Office Phlebotomy (IOP) location, or Mobile Diagnostic Services (MDS). And you might cover multiple locations.

What You Need

• 1 to 2 years of phlebotomy experience; previous mobile experience is preferred
• A valid driver's license ; you will need to pass a driver background check
• A fingerprint clearance card or the ability to get one
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent (may depend on state rules)
• A completed phlebotomy program or equivalent phlebotomy experience
• Basic knowledge of department resource materials
• Flexibility to travel and work at different sites with minimal notice
• Availability for weekends, holidays, overtime, and occasional on call duties evenings or early mornings
• Progressing through career ladder levels II through IV requires completing career ladder requirements when applicable

It's preferred if you're bilingual (Spanish/English), know medical terminology, or have additional related education and experience.

The Schedule & Travel

The day shift schedule is tied to staffing needs. Float positions mean you travel between multiple locations including mobile phlebotomy facilities and in office spots. Be ready for last minute changes.

The Pay & Benefits

• $17 to $26 per hour based on experience plus geographic differential pay adjustments where they apply
• A shift differential if your schedule qualifies starting at $1.00 per hour up to $3.50 depending on the shift type   (example: picking up and posting results in LabNet during certain hours gets normal rate while collection can get shift diff)
