The Job
This role sits inside Sonora Quest Laboratories in Phoenix, AZ. You're the go to person for a specific department, acting as the bridge between your coworkers, other teams, and Patient Services management. It's a mix of technical work and administrative tasks, and you'll do it all at a high level.
You'll help solve problems, report to your supervisor when needed, and keep things running smoothly. Quality improvement is part of the deal ; both for patients and processes ; while staying compliant with regulatory agencies.
What You'll Actually Do
- Act as the first resource and communication contact for your assigned department
- Assist staff, other departments, and Patient Services management as issues come up
- Resolve problems under the guidance of the area Supervisor
- Handle advanced technical or administrative work with competence and efficiency
- Stay involved in patient focused quality improvement efforts
- Make sure everything stays compliant with regulatory requirements

What You Need to Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent (that's the education requirement)
- Two years of experience in a clinical lab doing phlebotomy or test management ; that's where you learn how labs really work
- The ability to handle complex problem solving. Leadership skills are expected here.
- You should be comfortable communicating clearly in writing and face to face. Advanced computer skills are non negotiable.
- Solid customer service instincts. A working knowledge of regulatory standards, accrediting bodies, and compliance rules.
- Good leadership skills. Good interpersonal skills too.
A Few Extra Requirements (Depending on Your Placement)
- If you end up in Mobile/Long Term Care: you'll need an ADHS Fingerprinting Certification or be able to get one quickly.
- If it's an IOP placement: you must sign a "Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement".
- A valid driver's license might be necessary ; plus eligibility for coverage under our company auto insurance policy.
