The Job in a Nutshell
Pueblo Norte in Phoenix, AZ needs a full time Maintenance Supervisor. You're the working lead on the maintenance team ; that means you run the daily work order operation, do hands on repairs across multiple trades, and step in for the Maintenance Director when they're out. You'll work at a very active senior living community where the residents keep things fun and interesting.
What You'll Actually Do
- General maintenance and repair work daily: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliance repair
- You prioritize, assign, and complete work orders from residents and staff
- Conduct daily building rounds to spot needed repairs, safety hazards, and handle preventative maintenance
- Lead unit turns for new residents ; painting, carpet cleaning, repairs, and general make ready
- Direct and support the Maintenance Assistant on daily tasks and special projects
- Maintain the grounds, common areas, and building exterior so the community always looks presentable
- Serve as the on site maintenance lead when the Maintenance Director isn't available
- Participate in a shared after hours on call rotation with the Maintenance Director
What You Need to Bring
- A valid Arizona driver's license
- At least 3 years of general maintenance experience with hands on competency across multiple trades ; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry
- Prior experience supervising or leading a small maintenance team (preferred, but not strictly required)
- Working knowledge of building systems, life safety equipment, and preventative maintenance practices
- You can respond to maintenance emergencies and prioritize work under pressure
- A pleasant, resident focused attitude
