What this job is
A Licensed Practical Nurse role in a corrections setting. This one's a local or travel contract. You'll work nights ; 36 hours a week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each. And you'll move between the hospital units and jail units with inmates. It's not a sit still kind of gig.
What you'll actually do
- Float between Hospital and Jail units with inmates on your shift
- Provide nursing care in a secured corrections environment
- Keep up with the pace of a facility that mixes acute care and corrections
What you need to bring
- 1 year of experience during the past 3 years in Corrections, Hospital Acute Care (like ICU, ED, or Med/Surg), or similar settings
- An active Arizona or Compact LPN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification ; from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- A current driver's license
- An updated resume
