Journeyman Electrician

This is a Journeyman Electrician role with CoolSys in Phoenix, AZ. You're not just buttoning up boxes here ; you're repairing, maintaining, and installing all kinds of electrical systems. That means figuring out layouts, testing patterns, reading blueprints, running conduit, and wiring devices. You'll interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and code specs to determine wiring layouts. Upgrading or doing preventive maintenance on electrical control systems is part of it too. You'll run tests, isolate problems, replace damaged sections of wiring, and lay out circuits. And yeah, there are other duties as they come up.

What You Need

• A High School Diploma is required; some trade or technical school classes are preferred.
• 3+ years of work experience as an electrician apprentice.
• An electrician apprenticeship under your belt.
• A license as a Journeyman or Electrician to meet state requirements.
• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low voltage electric systems.
• Skill in installing, repairing, and maintaining all types of electrical system equipment and components.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision.
• You must know the commercial construction industry's related products and tools inside and out.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
