About This Role
Lead ERP Developer ; Microsoft Dynamics NAV & Business Central
We're looking for a Senior Business Central Developer/Architect to join a fast growing company based in Phoenix, AZ. This isn't just another developer role; it's a leadership position where you'll own the architecture and drive real change. The company is one of the fastest growing in the South, and they need someone who can build and guide their ERP strategy from the ground up.
What you'll actually do
- Lead the full development and implementation lifecycle for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central ERP systems. You're not just writing code; you're deciding how it all fits together.
- Design and build integrations between the ERP system and other business applications. The ecosystem doesn't stop at one platform.
- Own the solution architecture itself, making sure every piece aligns with business requirements and the broader IT strategy across the company.
- Implement ERP platforms following industry best practices while keeping everything compliant with SOX ITGC. No cutting corners here.
- Manage a team of developers directly ; mentor them, set direction, keep things collaborative, push for high quality results without micromanaging.
- Evaluate the current ERP systems regularly, identify gaps or inefficiencies, then make changes that actually improve how things run.
- Work closely with stakeholders across different parts of the business so you understand their real needs before designing a solution.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of what's new in ERP ; trends, tools, techniques ; and bring that knowledge back to your work every day.
What you need to bring
- A minimum of 5 years doing ERP development work specifically with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central. That's non negotiable.
- Real hands on experience with integrations, solution architecture, implementations, and SOX ITGC compliance. Not just exposure ; actual ownership.
- The ability to lead teams. You've managed developers before and have a track record of delivering solid results through others.
- A strategic mindset. When problems come up (and they will), you think them through clearly and make decisions that stick.
- The communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to people who don't speak tech. Stakeholders need to understand what's happening without getting lost in jargon.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or something closely related. It matters here.
Nice to haves that will help your case
- Certifications in either Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central would put you ahead of most candidates ; these are highly valued here.
- A background working inside Tech Services specifically is preferred but not required if your experience is otherwise strong.

The salary range for this position is $130k – $165k per year depending on experience level and fit. Beyond base pay there's also:
