Construction P6 Scheduler / Estimator
Phoenix, AZ ; Full time, permanent position with a leading commercial construction company in the greater Mobile, AL area. This role reports directly to the estimating team and plays a central part in how we win work and build relationships.
Compensation & Benefits

What You'll Actually Do
You'll assist the estimate lead throughout the bid process, managing and coordinating incoming bid information while learning how to manage, coordinate, and prepare detailed pricing for individual disciplines on larger projects. On smaller projects, you'll handle detailed estimates yourself ; and do it all in a timely manner.
- Manage incoming invitations to bid: organize and distribute information as it arrives
- Issue invitations to bid to subcontractor partners
- Receive and organize incoming subcontractor bids for review by the estimating team
- Identify, coordinate, and track key dates and deliverables
- Help maintain internal databases for historical cost, project info, and subcontractors
- Assist the entire team ; Business Development, Project Management, Marketing, and others ; with generating preconstruction materials for presentations
- Actively participate on internal teams focused on continuous improvement of our business and processes
Preconstruction & Technical Responsibilities
- Review design documents to determine which trades are necessary for bidding a complete project
- Prepare detailed scope sheets for individual disciplines on large projects; use the same approach for all disciplines on smaller projects
- Communicate clearly with subcontractor partners
- Develop a working knowledge of material unit costs, systems unit costs, and buildout square foot costs
- Maintain working knowledge of all plans, specifications, and documents assigned to you
- Become familiar with all policies and procedures related to this position
- Gain understanding of the requirements of working within various buildings throughout the Atlanta area
Relationships & Representation
- Understand the importance of building and maintaining positive working relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors
- Participate in organizations that promote the interests of our company
- Represent the team at pre bid meetings and site walks or surveys
