What You'll Actually Do

• Install, repair, and maintain wiring, motors, transformers, generators, lighting, appliances, circuits, and other electrical system equipment
• Figure out what materials a project needs and how much they'll cost; make sure specs and drawings are accurate before you start
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing equipment; study plans, drawings, and work orders to figure out the right sequence of repairs or installations
• Repair and maintain high voltage systems; troubleshoot emergency generators and power distribution systems until they're working properly
• Train and supervise apprentices on the job
• Other duties as they come up

What You Need to Bring

• 4 to 7 years of experience working as an electrician
• A completed electrician apprenticeship program
• A High School Diploma (some trade or technical school classes are preferred)
• A Journeyman or Electrician license if your state requires it (preferred)
• Solid knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade
• A good handle on applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Knowledge of both high voltage and low voltage electrical applications
• The skill to install, repair, and maintain all types of electrical system equipment and components ; including commerical construction industry tools products specifically

The Pay & Benefits Package

$30 - $47 per hour based on experience.
