About the Role
We need a CCT Nurse in Phoenix, AZ. This isn't your average nursing job. You're the clinician in charge from the moment you get the call until your patient is delivered. You'll guide complex care on the move, making autonomous decisions in the back of an ambulance or aircraft. It's intense, demanding, and requires a specific kind of nurse.
What You'll Do
- Respond to critical care transport calls and manage the entire patient journey.
- Provide high quality emergency and routine nursing care during transport, following protocols and physician orders.
- Your critical thinking guides patient care; you're assessing, planning, and implementing treatment independently.
- Communicate clearly with everyone: patients, their families, hospital staff, and our operations team.
- Handle all required documentation on the Patient Care Record accurately and completely.
- Make sure your transport unit is clean, fully stocked, and all equipment is ready to go.
- Stay current on all company policies, EMS protocols, and clinical guidelines.
- Keep your licenses and certifications active without exception.
What You Need to Have
Experience & Education:
- A minimum of 2 years in a critical care setting. That means ICU, CCU, PACU, or ER.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A BSN or bachelor's degree in a healthcare field is a plus.
The Right Skills:
- A solid grasp of professional nursing theory and practice.
- You can assess a situation, make a plan, and see it through under pressure.
- The ability to work alone, prioritize tasks, delegate when needed, and think on your feet.
- You read instructions carefully and write clear reports.
- A team mindset that focuses on the best possible patient outcome with everyone involved.
- CCT or EMS experience is preferred but not mandatory if your critical care background is strong.
Required Credentials:
- A current State Registered Nursing (RN) License.
- Provider cards for ACLS, PALS, and BLS must be current.
- A valid State Driver’s License. Your driving record will be checked against our safety policy if we make an offer.
