About This Role

Alright, let's get straight to it. We're a full service law firm based in Texas, with close to 100 attorneys across the state. Our team guides clients through all sorts of complex matters in finance, real estate, construction, insurance, and healthcare.

We need a litigation paralegal in Phoenix, AZ who knows their way around a courtroom. This isn't an entry level gig; you'll be right in the thick of it on complex cases from start to finish.

What you'll be doing

The work is varied and you'll need to juggle a lot. It's high pressure but rarely boring.

  • You’re supporting attorneys through every phase of litigation, from the initial filing all the way through post trial.
  • A big part of the job is digging into legal research. You’ll gather evidence, analyze documents, and get everything ready for attorney review.
  • Drafting is key. You’ll handle pleadings, motions, appellate documents; then file them with the court.
  • Trial prep is where you shine. Organizing exhibits, helping prep witnesses, coordinating logistics, even helping set up the courtroom.
  • Managing complex cases and multi district litigation is part of the deal.
  • You’ll assist with deposition prep and pre trial investigations.
  • Preparing other legal documents like contracts, agreements, and legal arguments for attorney use.
  • Assisting with drafting briefs and statements that become part of our case presentation.

The specifics we need

Here’s what it takes to do this job well here. We're pretty specific on these points.

  • At least five years working as a litigation paralegal. Your experience needs to have a strong focus on trial preparation.
  • A paralegal certification or degree from an accredited program is required.
  • You need thorough knowledge of legal principles, research techniques, terminology, and court rules and procedures.
  • Be proficient with legal database software and other common litigation support tools.
  • The organizational demands are high; your attention to detail has to be exceptional.
  • Clear written and verbal communication isn't just nice to have; it's essential for this role.
  • You'll manage multiple projects and cases at once, so prioritizing effectively is non negotiable.
  • Strong problem solving skills help when working under pressure in our fast paced environment.
  • You should be comfortable working independently but also collaborating as part of the team when needed.

The details

The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 per year. We offer a full suite of benefits including health insurance along with dental and vision coverage.
