About This Role

What You’ll Be Doing

This Assistant Manager role runs Thursday through Monday, 3pm to 11pm ; Tuesday and Wednesday off. It’s full time and sits right in the middle of everything at our Phoenix, AZ facility. You’ll work alongside the General Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly.

You’ll oversee the physical condition and appearance of both the facility and our shuttle fleet. That means checking things out, spotting issues before they become problems, and making sure everything looks good for guests. You’ll also monitor how employees perform during a shift so operational standards stay high.

A big part of this gig is training people to do their specific jobs well. You’ll help hire staff, get them up to speed, and manage them day to day. When customer service issues pop up ; and they will ; you handle them directly.

You enforce all company policies from the Employee Handbook. If a shift needs filling, you either contact employees to cover it or step in yourself. You also comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations for commercial vehicles. And yeah, you might take on other tasks management reasonably requests.

The Day to Day Stuff

  • Oversee facility and fleet appearance
  • Monitor employee performance to hit operational standards
  • Train employees on their specific responsibilities
  • Tackle projects around operational improvements, maintenance, or shuttle repair
  • Resolve customer service issues as they come up
  • Enforce all company policies from the handbook
  • Cover shifts when needed by contacting employees or stepping in personally
  • Follow all applicable commercial vehicle regulations

What You Need to Bring

A bachelor’s degree or relevant management experience gets you in the door. You need a flexible schedule that can shift around ; we run a real operation here.

  • Ability to prioritize work and follow directions fast
  • Solid English communication skills (both talking and writing)
  • Good interpersonal skills for working with people every day
  • Analytical chops to gather data and summarize it for reports
  • A valid driver’s license ; plus any licenses or badges required by local authorities to operate a commercial vehicle (you must be able to get these if you don’t already have them)
  • Crucial: As part of the selection process, you need to pass a physical exam and get certified as an Interstate driver per airport, DOT federal, or state rules

The Pay Side of Things

The salary range sits between $50,000 and $55,000 per year with overtime eligibility. What you actually get offered depends on your qualifications, experience, education, skill level training certifications seniority ; neutral stuff like that.
