What You'd Be Doing
- Using digital tools and data insights to spot opportunities, develop strategy, and allocate resources to maximize sales.
- Delivering clear messages to customers; probing their needs, handling objections, and closing each call with a commitment to action.
- Building productive relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals. Think "total office" account management.
- Gathering market trends, mapping account linkages, and using your therapeutic knowledge to find and prioritize opportunities.
- Staying on top of reimbursement dynamics; anticipating and addressing payer access issues with IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial plans using company resources.
- Applying knowledge of the pharmaceutical regulatory environment. That means adhering to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations on product promotion.
The Must Haves
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- At least two years in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or a related healthcare sales role.
- You need the intellectual capacity to score highly on disease and product training exams. Product knowledge certification is required annually.
- A self starter mentality with a strong work ethic.
- Outstanding communication skills are non negotiable.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Living within 40 miles of the territory boundaries is required.
- Driving is an essential duty; you need a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company requirements.
- Meeting reasonable industry standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers or customer facilities is required for continued employment here.
