Chesterbrook Academy is part of Spring Education Group's Early Childhood Education Division, which runs nearly 150 schools across the country. They offer infant care through Pre K and kindergarten programs, plus summer camp and after school care. Their teaching draws on the Links to Learning curriculum, which was built from the ideas of educators like Dewey, Piaget, and Vygotsky. Some of their schools follow Montessori methods (both AMI and AMS), and others offer Mandarin or Spanish language immersion.

The Role

We're hiring an Infant Teacher for our toddler program here in Philadelphia, PA. The program is built around sparking curiosity, building confidence, and supporting kids through discovery and play. As the Infant Teacher, you'll create a classroom where children can explore their world while learning independence and early skills.

What You'll Actually Do

• Design and run age appropriate activities that help with cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
• Set up a warm, consistent daily routine so infants feel secure and confident.
• Build real partnerships with families through regular, open communication.
• Work alongside co teachers and school leaders to keep the learning experience strong.

What You Need

• At least 18 years old, plus meet your state's licensing requirements.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience working in a licensed childcare center.
• A genuine interest in early learning and helping kids discover new things every day.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

The Physical Side of the Job

This job involves a lot of movement. You'll need to walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, get up from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak English regularly. You'll also carry things, lift them, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend. Good hearing and clear vision (with or without correction) are needed too.
