Maintenance Technician
This is a mobile maintenance role. You'll be driving to different facilities in the Philadelphia, PA area, handling repairs and keeping things running smoothly.
What you'd be doing
The work is hands on and varied. One day you're changing light bulbs and ballasts; the next, you're helping with a plumbing issue or moving office furniture for a tenant. You're the person they call to hang a picture, fix a desk drawer, or paint a wall.
- Support the operations team with general building maintenance and equipment repair.
- Perform interior repairs on walls, flooring, office furniture, and fixtures.
- Handle minor plumbing fixes.
- Complete special tasks like painting, basic locksmith work, and other general maintenance requests.
- Move furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and report any issues that could affect our clients.
You need to be available for after hours emergency calls. And safety isn't just a rulebook here; it's how we work. You'll maintain clean workspaces, follow all procedures for hazardous materials, and always be on the lookout for potential hazards to fix them before they become problems. You also need to make sure everything meets local city and county codes.
The kind of person we need
You can work fine on your own but you're also good with a crew. We need someone who's self motivated but knows when to ask questions. The physical part is real; this isn't a desk job.
- You must have at least three years of hands on experience in general building repair and maintenance. Basic plumbing and electrical know how is required.
- A valid state driver's license is non negotiable; you'll be driving between properties.
- It's a plus if you've completed a technical training program related to this work.
- The job demands strength: lifting 80 lbs., using ladders up to 30 feet tall, frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and driving longer distances are all part of it.
- Your written and spoken English needs to be clear for reports and daily communication.
The details
The estimated total compensation range for this position is $53,300 to $72,300 per year. The final offer depends on your experience, location specifics within Philadelphia, PA, market factors, and internal considerations at JLL.Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without needing visa sponsorship now or in the future. This role does not provide sponsorship.
