Marketing Coordinator
About This Role
The Gig
This is a Clinical Rehab Liaison role at The Quad Cities Rehabilitation Institute in Peoria, IL. You've probably heard the title before. It's one of those jobs that blends your clinical license with community work.
Your main focus? Building referral relationships within a specific geographic territory. You'll be the person healthcare pros call when they have a patient who needs rehab placement. That means talking to physicians, ICU nurses, floor nurses, discharge planners, case managers, and payer representatives. You're not just selling something; you're helping people get the care they need.
What You'll Actually Do
- Develop the hospital's census based on strategic goals ; this is about bringing in patients who genuinely need our services
- Cultivate strong relationships inside your assigned territory, with an emphasis on face to face connections (no hiding behind emails)
- Help streamline the whole referral to admission process so it runs smoothly for everyone involved
- Educate community members, referral sources, and physicians about what our hospital programs and services actually offer
- Use market analysis to spot new opportunities nobody else has noticed yet
- Tackle admission barriers as they pop up and follow through on admission variables
- Conduct in services and professional presentations to different groups about our outcomes and services
What You Need to Bring
- A current driver's license from the state where you'll be working, plus an acceptable driving record per company policy
- Current state professional clinical licensure ; non negotiable here
- Current CPR certification ; also non negotiable
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred but not required if you have the right background
- Two or more years of clinical or healthcare tech experience preferred (that's a "nice to have," not a dealbreaker)
- One or more years working as a nurse liaison or in successful healthcare sales ; again, preferred but not mandatory
- A CRRN certification would make us happy but isn't required upfront
- A solid grasp of healthcare operations, legal frameworks, market trends, and competitive analysis helps too
The Company Part (Quick Version)
The Quad Cities Rehabilitation Institute is part of Encompass Health. They've been named one of Fortune's "World's Most Admired Companies" and picked up the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For Award. Not bad for a rehab facility.
Perks & Benefits From Day One
- Medical plans that don't break the bank ; dental and vision too. Available for full time and part time employees plus their families.
- A generous paid time off policy that actually accrues over time (you won't wait forever for vacation days)
- (Yes bold)Tuition reimbursement opportunities if you want to keep learning
