The Job

This is a Plumber role at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, CA. You'll be the person keeping the hospital's plumbing systems running ; water, gas, drainage, medical gas, and sewage. It's hands on work that directly impacts patient care and daily operations. You'll install, maintain, and repair all of it, working with minimal supervision. When something breaks after hours? You're the one who responds to emergency plumbing issues to keep things going. Nights and weekends come up occasionally.

You'll also make sure tools and equipment are used safely, report any accidents or issues you see, and pitch in during emergency responses across the facility.

What You Need

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid certification or license in your trade is preferred.
• At least five years of relevant commercial plumbing experience ; healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Computer proficiency is required. You should be comfortable with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A current California Driver's License is required.
• A current Journey Level PS certificate issued by the City of Los Angeles Dept. of Building and Safety is preferred.

The Skills That Matter

• You know trade practices and codes inside out. And you can supervise others in using them correctly.
• You understand materials and their applications well enough to make smart choices on the job.
• Reading blueprints and technical drawings? No problem for you.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, medical gas lines, steam systems, and building codes is expected.
• You communicate clearly, stay organized when things get chaotic, and solve problems collaboratively with other departments.

Schedule & Pay

This is a full time position with an 8 hour shift during daytime hours. The pay range sits between $34.00 and $51.00 per hour as a base rate. On top of that there are differentials for certain shifts or situations, extra shift incentives when they pop up, bonuses if you qualify ; basically more ways to earn beyond that base number.
