What you'll do

You'll handle general cleaning throughout the hospital. That means following specific procedures for infection control and safety; it's a big deal here.

• Clean carpets and hard floors. The full cycle: buffing, stripping, applying finish, scrubbing.
• You'll also do carpet extraction and carpet bonneting.
• The work involves handling blood and body fluids. It’s just part of the environment.
• You need to be reliable and consistent. The team depends on everyone doing their part for patient care.
• Your schedule might need some flexibility. The shift listed is 8 hour days, full time.

What you bring

We can teach you our methods, but you need to come with a solid foundation.

• A High School Diploma or GED is good to have.
• Some experience with floor care is helpful.
• If you've worked in Environmental Services at a hospital before, that's a definite plus.
• You must be able to read, write, and communicate in basic English.

The details

The base pay range for this position is $24.00 to $31.00 per hour. That’s just the start; there could be extra for shift differentials, incentives, or bonuses depending on how things go.
