About This Role

What You’ll Do

You’re a paraprofessional member of an interdisciplinary group. You work under a registered nurse’s supervision. Your job is to perform services for a patient, as needed, to meet their personal needs and promote comfort. You’ll observe the patient, report what you see, and document both those observations and the care you provide.

Specific tasks you’ll handle:

  • Perform personal care for your assigned patient and respond to their requests promptly. If you can’t do a certain task, report that immediately to the Hospice Director or Director of Clinical Services.
  • Observe the patient and report those observations. Then document the observations and the care you performed.
  • Use positive communication techniques with the patient and family, always within the realm of ethical, respectful care ; including confidentiality.

What You’ll Need

  • A valid Driver License (DL).
  • A High School Graduate / GED.
  • Occasional or intermittent work is required.
  • No prior experience needed.
