Rehab RN

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this Rehab RN opening at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Orlando, FL.

I've been placing nurses here for years. It's a 404 bed teaching hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, and they work with the UCF College of Medicine. The team's solid, and they're looking for someone who gets that inpatient rehab is its own world. You're not just following orders; you're making clinical assessments and managing treatment on your own as part of an interdisciplinary team. It's patient centered care, which means you're advocating for them, educating them and their families on everything from meds to procedures, and making sure their time in the unit is effective and safe.

What you'd be doing

  • Collecting all the necessary data on your patients' health and situations.
  • Analyzing that assessment to figure out diagnoses or issues.
  • Creating individualized care plans with clear expected outcomes.
  • Being a consistent advocate for patient safety.
  • Managing time, supplies, and equipment efficiently for effective care.
  • The education piece is big; walking patients through their medications, treatments, and procedures while supporting their families.

What you need to bring

A current Florida RN license is mandatory. If you have a compact license, you'll have 60 days from relocation to get the Florida one sorted. You also need an AHA BLS Provider card within your first 30 days.

A year of RN experience specifically in an Inpatient Rehab setting would be ideal. They'd love it if you had your BSN or were a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), but those are preferred qualifications, not deal breakers.
