What This Role Looks Like

Cranium Academy, part of the Endeavor Schools family, needs an Elementary Teacher for 4th and 5th grade in Orlando, FL. You'll plan and deliver instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies ; all aligned with state standards. But it's not just about academics. You'll support each student's social, emotional, and character development too.

Your days will involve a mix of things. Differentiating instruction to meet different learning needs. Using various strategies, resources, and technology tools. Assessing student progress with both formal and informal assessments. Keeping accurate records of grades, attendance, and performance. Managing the classroom in a way that promotes positive behavior.

You'll also communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom updates. Attend parent teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and school events. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff. Follow all school policies and procedures. And you'll participate in ongoing professional development ; because we invest in helping you grow.

• Plan and lead innovative learning activities that promote children's development and growth
• Make sure the safety and well being of children is a priority at all times
• Monitor children's progress and development closely
• Create a classroom environment where both students and fellow teachers want to be every day

What You Bring

You might already work in education, or you might not. Some of our best teachers came from customer service, healthcare, retail, and other fields. The most important thing is that you genuinely love working with children. Here's what we need from you:

• A Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
• A valid teaching certification ; or eligibility to get one
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum and what works in instruction
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication
• The ability to build real, positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Compensation and Benefits

Pay ranges from $37,000 to $42,000 per year. But beyond that, here's what you get:
