The Gig

Heidelberg Materials is a massive supplier in the building materials world. We're talking over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada, with about 9,000 people. We need an Electrician for our terminal in Orlando, FL who can keep our electrical systems humming.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll handle the electrical side of things ; maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all the terminal equipment and systems. That means installing, inspecting, and testing electrical components so everything runs safe and reliable. You'll also get into automation, controls, and instrumentation that keep our processes moving. Preventive maintenance is a big part of it: you'll work to cut down on downtime and make equipment performance better. And you'll team up with operations and maintenance folks to knock out equipment issues when they pop up.

What You Need to Bring

  • Real, proven experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • The ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Solid know how with industrial electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation
  • A serious commitment to safety ; safe work procedures are non negotiable
  • You can talk and work well with others in an industrial setting

The Schedule and Conditions

This role works a rotating shift ; you'll go between evenings and days. The environment? It's an industrial terminal. So expect moving mechanical equipment, weather (inclement, hot, cold, humid), and elevated noise levels. It's real work in a real place.

What You Need to Pass

If you're the successful candidate, you'll need to pass a post offer pre employment physical exam, a drug and alcohol screen, and a background check. Some positions here also require ongoing FMCSA regulated drug and alcohol testing.

The Pay and Benefits

You'll earn between $32.00 and $37.00 per hour. And the benefits are solid:
