Assistant Store Manager
About This Role
Alright, here's the deal. We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager in Orlando, FL to help run one of our TitleMax stores. This isn't about just holding keys; it's about getting real, hands on experience running a business and leading a team. You'll be right in the middle of everything that makes this place tick.
What you'd be doing
You're supporting customers who have real financial needs, and you're learning the business from the ground up. It's a mix of customer service, sales, and leadership all at once.
- You'll handle the core services: evaluating and processing loan applications, check cashing, and other financial products.
- A big part of the job is managing customer accounts and helping with recovery efforts to prevent losses.
- Get ready to make calls. Daily outreach to market services, build new business, and keep our current customers connected is key.
- Accuracy matters. You'll be responsible for keeping customer info correct in our point of sale system.
- If we have Customer Service Representatives on site, you'll provide them with coaching and support to make sure they're hitting quality and safety standards.
- The work isn't always behind a desk. Sometimes you'll do vehicle appraisals on site, run store errands, or help with marketing events out in the community.
- We have performance goals around building partnerships, getting customer referrals, and hosting in store events.
- And of course, you'll handle opening and closing the store securely, managing cash drawers and the vault according to procedure.
The basics we need from you
Let's talk qualifications. Here’s what’s required to get started.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- You need at least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
- We also require a minimum of 3 months in any supervisory, key holder, or leadership role.
- You have to be at least 18 years old (19 if you're in Alabama).
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance are non negotiable. You'll use your own vehicle for work tasks during the day; we pay mileage for that.
- The job has physical demands. You'll be on your feet up to 90% of the time, moving around inside and outside the store. You should be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds and operate things like a keyboard without issue.
- Everyone we hire must pass a background check. We conduct these according to applicable law.
Stuff that would give you a serious edge
These aren't required but they're definitely nice to see on an application.
- Any management experience in retail, grocery, finance, or service industries is a big plus.
