Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor ; BlueLinx

This is a hands on leadership role at a company that moves real product every single day. We're looking for someone who can run the floor, keep things organized, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

BlueLinx is one of America's largest distributors of building products ; we carry over 70,000 SKUs and serve about 15,000 customers across the country. You'd be based in Omaha, NE, working with a team that needs clear direction and steady leadership.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Second shift: 2PM to 11PM

What you'll actually do

• Supervise daily warehouse operations ; receiving, storage, and shipping all fall under your watch
• Make sure orders go out error free and inventory stays accurate
• Keep safety compliance tight and follow OSHA and DOT regulations to the letter
• Coach your team on productivity goals and help them hit their numbers consistently
• Look for ways to improve delivery processes and how materials move through the facility
• Manage maintenance for warehouse equipment, fleet vehicles, and the building itself
• Develop safety programs and make sure everyone follows them day in and day out

What you need to bring

• At least 4 years of logistics experience in a warehousing environment
• A year or more of supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory if you've got the right background otherwise
• A solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control methods, and safety protocols
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite along with other logistics software tools common in this field
• If you've worked with Lean or Six Sigma before or managed projects on top of daily ops ; that's a plus too.
