Team Lead

The Role

OneStaff Medical is the largest independently owned staffing agency in healthcare. We have a Midwest work ethic with a national footprint. This Team Lead role sits on our Rehab Therapy Recruiting Team in Omaha, NE.

You'll lead a group of recruiters who place physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists on travel assignments nationwide. This is a dual role ; you'll keep your own recruiting desk while mentoring Junior and Senior Recruiters to sharpen their skills and hit their targets.

You'll build real relationships with therapy candidates, learn what they want out of their careers, and guide them through the travel healthcare process. Internally, you'll work with other departments to make sure we're meeting client expectations and improving fill rates, revenue, and profitability.

What You'll Do Day to Day

• Maintain a minimum of 15 active Travelers on your personal desk
• Hit a target of 20 Travelers onboarded over a designated period
• Coach Junior and Senior Recruiters through training, shadowing, and performance feedback
• Handle team member concerns quickly and effectively to keep the environment productive and positive
• Teach recruiters better ways to source candidates, sell opportunities, and close deals
• Consistently beat your daily and weekly KPIs ; both for yourself and for the team
• Source and recruit rehab therapy pros using job boards, CRM tools, and outbound outreach
• Match candidates with assignments that fit their licensure, skills, and preferences
• Build long term relationships with travel therapy professionals
• Keep internal systems updated with accurate candidate info, availability, and touchpoints
• Use consultative selling to uncover what candidates really need and secure long term placements
• Educate candidates on market trends, pay rates, and licensing requirements so they know what to expect
• Move candidates through the hiring and onboarding process with urgency and follow through
• Uphold OneStaff Medical's reputation and values in every interaction

What We Need From You

• High school diploma or equivalent ; college degree is preferred
• Experience in recruiting or staffing within healthcare is strongly preferred
• Proven leadership skills and a track record of mentoring or managing people
• Solid time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills ; written and verbal
• A problem solving mindset and the ability to adapt when things shift
• Comfort with Excel and experience using CRM or ATS software
• You're energetic, motivated, coachable, and can work on your own
• A strong sense of urgency and personal accountability
• You lead by example and consistently meet or exceed your own metrics
