Warehouse Supervisor

This Warehouse Supervisor role at US Foods in Oklahoma City, OK starts with a simple idea: no one gets hurt. You'll champion safety procedures, training, and processes to build a culture where every associate finishes their shift injury free. That's the baseline for everything else.

What You'll Actually Do

You're the person on the floor making sure orders are accurate, trucks get loaded properly, and the warehouse is prepped for the next shift. But it's not just about product moving through the building. You'll coach warehouse associates one on one, help solve problems as they come up, and lead by example. If someone's performance needs attention or they're hitting their targets, you're the one having that conversation ; and you'll work with Senior Warehouse Managers to create real plans for improvement.

• Direct the work and productivity of warehouse associates (loaders, selectors, receivers, forklift drivers).
• Keep communication open across shifts so workflow stays efficient.
• Interview and hire new warehouse personnel alongside Sr. Warehouse Managers.
• Review performance data like mis pick reports and productivity numbers to make sure your shift meets its rates.
• Coach associates on both productivity and safety targets; deliver disciplinary action when needed.
• On day shift specifically: designate dock locations for inbound carriers and make sure product is stocked correctly following FIFO and food safety standards.
• Monitor replenishment so stock is available for shipping ; nobody wants shorts.
• Oversee will call orders too.
• Inspect the facility regularly for safety hazards; fix them or flag them to the safety manager.
• Maintain equipment and physical condition of the warehouse ; write work orders for repairs and requisitions for what's needed.
• Work with operations management to find sources of inventory shrink and help build an action plan around it.
• Analyze current operations and recommend ways to control expenses better.
• Make sure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) requirements get followed every time.
• Schedule shifts using planning tools like Microsoft Excel effectively.

The People You'll Work With

Internal: Warehouse leaders across departments plus internal customers in Sales. Direct supervision: Union or non union warehouse floor associates including loaders, selectors, receivers, forklift drivers. External: Not applicable here ; this role focuses entirely inside Oklahoma City, OK's operation.

The Environment

A normal warehouse setting plus cooler and freezer areas that can drop down to -5 degrees Fahrenheit. Some days you're at room temperature; other days you're bundled up in frozen storage aisles counting inventory or checking conditions on a truck dock in January cold.
