The Role

At the Mercy Coletta Cancer Center in Oklahoma City, OK, we need a Technologist to handle simulations, deliver radiation therapy treatments, and perform brachytherapy procedures. You'll follow the radiation oncologist's prescriptions exactly and keep precise records of every treatment you give.

What You'll Do Day to Day

• Set up and run simulation sessions for patients who need radiation therapy.
• Deliver prescribed radiation treatments with accuracy and care.
• Perform brachytherapy procedures as directed by the physician.
• Keep detailed, accurate records of each patient's treatment course.

Schedule

This is a Part Time, PRN position. That means you work as needed, picking up shifts when they come up.

What You Need to Bring

• A diploma from an approved program in radiation therapy.
• Registration in radiation therapy through the ARRT, or be registry eligible. If you're registry eligible when hired, you must attempt the registry within two months of starting and pass it before your six month mark on the job.
• A current BLS certification before you can care for patients without supervision.
• The willingness to submit a copy of your registry renewal to the department every year before it expires.
• Solid skills in radiation therapy ; you know what you're doing.
• The ability to communicate well with coworkers from all kinds of backgrounds, plus good computer skills.
