Speech Language Pathologist

The Job

Mercy is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is about real patient care ; assessing, treating, and making a difference. You'll work with patients of all ages, designing treatment plans that actually fit their needs. Everything you do follows our departmental policies around referrals.

What You'll Do

• Perform objective assessments for assigned patients.
• Develop and carry out comprehensive individualized treatment programs.
• Respond to emergency situations as they come up.
• Document and communicate progress according to policy.

What You Need

• A Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• A current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license for the applicable state of practice.
• BLS certification ; this must be current before you're assigned to care for patients independently.
• Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire (your leader and clinical fellowship supervisor can extend that deadline if needed).
• The ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.

One year of experience is preferred, especially working with patients across all age groups. But we don't expect everyone coming in to have it ; it just gives you an edge.
