What this job is

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK is looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join the team. This is a full time position at a hospital that's operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Mercy. You'd be working with patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

What you'll actually do

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Administer PT interventions exactly as directed by the supervising PT
• Help patients with mobility and exercise routines
• Monitor how patients are responding and report progress back to the PT
• Keep accurate and timely documentation of everything you do
• Make sure the treatment area stays safe and clean

What you need to bring

You need an associate's degree from a PTA program, and you have to be eligible to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Oklahoma. Rehab or acute care experience is preferred but not required. CPR certification is required. This is a team oriented, patient focused role where solid communication matters a lot.
