Alright, let's talk about this Oncology RN spot we have open in Oklahoma City, OK.

This is the work. You'll use your full nursing process to provide patient care and you're the one accountable for the patients assigned to you. You'll evaluate how effective the care is from other direct caregivers and coordinate that care with other hospital departments. Keeping patient rights and confidentiality isn't just a policy; it's what you do. Every part of the job is done in a way that lines up with Mercy's mission and service standards.

What you need to bring

You need to have graduated from a school of nursing. An Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN works.

• A current RN license for the state where you'll be working, or a compact license if it applies. Getting it and keeping it current is on you.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. If you don't have it yet, you need to successfully complete the course within 30 days of starting.
• Depending on the specific unit, there might be another certification needed, or you may need to get one within a required timeframe after you start.

The physical side of things

This isn't a desk job. You've got to be able to handle these tasks regularly.

• Push, pull, or lift 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods during your shift.
• The usual bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, plus gripping and reaching are part of the day.
