The Gig
This is a Nuclear Medicine Technologist role at Mercy in Oklahoma City, OK. It's part time and PRN ; as needed. You'd be prepping, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies. You'll perform nuclear medicine studies and assist with them too. Patient safety protocols are your responsibility. You'll also keep up with all federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements. And you'll participate in CQI activities.
Who You Are
There are three levels here depending on your experience. The hiring team decides which level based on your education, certifications, licensure, and relevant imaging experience.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist- You graduated from an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed the required clinical hours.
- No experience needed ; this is entry level.
- You hold NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification or you're registry eligible (you must achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- State licensure may be required depending on where you practice.
- Same education requirement: graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine with completed clinical hours.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Current NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification plus BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- State licensure may be required depending on where you practice.
- If you're a current Nuclear Medicine Technologist moving to this title on the career ladder, you must complete all required Nuclear Medicine Technologist competencies first.
- Same education requirement: graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine with completed clinical hours.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Current NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification plus BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Achieve one advanced registry: NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), NMTCB(CT), or NMTCB(RS).
- State licensure may be required depending on where you practice.
- If you're a current Advanced NMT moving to Senior title on the career ladder, you must complete all required NMT AND Advanced NMT competencies first.
