About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this NICU RN opening on nights at Mercy in Oklahoma City, OK.
It's a full time position, 36 hours a week. We're looking for an RN who uses the nursing process to provide and coordinate care for our smallest patients. You'll maintain your own professional accountability for the patients assigned to you, evaluate the effectiveness of care from other direct caregivers, and work with other departments to coordinate that care. Protecting patient rights and confidentiality is fundamental.
What You Need
You need to be a graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- A current RN license for the state where you'll be working; it's on you to get it and keep it current, meeting all the board of nursing requirements.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. If you don't have it at hire, you'll need to successfully complete the course within your first 30 days.
- Any other unit specific certifications we require.
The Physical Side
This job is physically demanding, just so we're clear. You'll be on your feet, walking and standing for most of your shift.
- You have to be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- The work requires gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
Why This Team?
We're building a healing ministry here. That means a supportive community has your back every step of your day, especially when things get tough. You'll have real chances to help pioneer new models of care and transform healthcare with new technology and procedures. We're growing to meet our community's needs, and you can grow with us.
If compassion and professionalism are how you operate; if you've got a positive outlook and a strong sense of advocacy; you'll fit right in with our mission. We're collaborative here, and we don't mind doing that little bit extra to deliver excellent care. It's just what we do.
Benefits & Support
For team members working 32 hours or more per pay period (and this role qualifies), Mercy's benefits start on day one.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Paid time off.
- Tuition support.
- A matched retirement plan.
You're joining a caring team where your voice matters. You'll help shape the future of healthcare here through innovation, technology, and plain old compassion.
A quick note: New graduate nurse positions for this unit are currently filled. This posting is for experienced RNs.
